Happy New Year!
Leave a CommentI can already tell that today is going to be very busy, so I thought I would take the time this morning to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. Take a few minutes to reflect on the things from the past year that you have been fortunate enough to have in your life. I know I am very blessed, and I can’t help but be happy for everything that has been provided for me. Be safe, and welcome to 2008!

Merry Christmas!
The next few days are going to be very busy for me, but I wanted to take a minute to write a post wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. It’s also a fun time because this signifies the 1 year anniversary of www.mickeypapillon.com. I have had a great time over the past year using this site as a way for me to post things that I feel are important, and fun for others to read. I have renewed he domain for the next 2 years, so there will continue to be lots into the future!

The Official Windows Mobile 6 for the Treo 750
After spending the past 2 days with a leaked ROM of Windows Mobile 6 for the Treo 750, Palm at AT&T came out with the official verison today. I went to the website and downloaded the Mac version which makes the process of upgrading a piece of cake. Just put the mini-SD card with the files loaded on it and it walks you through the process. It really couldn’t be easier. Now, time to reset all of my settings and get this thing back humming along with it’s push email!

We have spent the last 5 months getting everything that we wanted and needed into the house and finally had a small gathering yesterday to celebrate and toast our new place. Curve
I’m back in Phoenix and the Tilt has gone back. I did like the device as a whole, but for day to day use, it just wouldn’t cut it.
That being said, I’ve moved on to the Blackberry Curve 8310. I like the stability of the OS and love the email capabilities that BB allows. I think that BB will be the OS for me for a while.

Is it time to make a switch?
They don’t call me The Cell Phone Junkie because I’m rational, that is for sure!
After 18 months with Verizon, I’m contemplating the switch over to AT&T. The great thing about Verizon has always been the coverage, but the lack of innovative handsets is really starting to grate on me. I am itching or something new and I really want it to have the functionality that includes Slingbox, Skype and 3G. I have been looking at the number of choices in the AT&T smartphone lineup, and it’s very impressive. The Tilt looks to be the most robust device that they have, and I am very intrigued. The iPhone will always capture my curiosity, but until we get to a point where they Apple allows 3rd party apps like these, I think I’ll hold out.
So…any comments fr someone thinking of moving from Verizon to AT&T? The funny thing is that I made the move from Cingular to Verizon and paid the ETF to do so. Now I’m looking to make the move back, paying another ETF to do so. Like I said, rationality when it comes to cell phones doesn’t really seem to my thing.
