Free wifi on the iPhone at starbucks

Just experienced free wifi at my local starbucks because of my iPhone.
A nice feature for those that spend a lot of time at them.
Note the pretty decent speeds from the network.

‘Twas the night before Mickey’s iPhone
Listener Harry to The Cell Phone Junkie was inspired by my latest phone purchase, and put together this comical and entertaining rendition of ‘Twas the night before Christmas, as it relates to cell phones. I still don’t know when I will be receiving my iPhone, but I do hope it comes soon!
Thanks Harry!
‘Twas the night before Mickey’s iPhone, when all through the house,
Not a cellphone was ringing, not even his Palm.
The batteries were hung, by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Steve Jobs soon would be there.
Mickey was nestled all snug in his bed,
While visions of iPhones danced in his head.
His wife in her ‘kerchief, Mickey’s jammies all white,
had just settled down for a sweltering Phoenix night,
When out in the desert, there arose such a clatter,
Mickey sprung from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, he flew like a flash,
Tore open the windows and threw up the sash.
The moon shown bright over the cactus green glow,
gave the lustre of mid-day to the sands below,
When what to Mickey’s wondering eyes should appear.
But a miniature sleigh, with eight tiny podcasters,
With a jeans clad driver, so lively and quick.
Mickey knew in a moment, it must be Steve Jobs.
More rapid than buzzards, his coursers they came,
and he whistled and shouted, and called them by name:
“Now, Alli! Now, Edward, Now Fizzboy, Now Jerry!
On Steve! On Joey, on Chris and Harry!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall.
Now dash away! Dash Away! Dash away all!”
As dry sands fly before the desert storms fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, and mount to the sky,
With the sleigh full of iPhones, and Steve Jobs too.
And then, in a twinkling, Mickey heard on the roof,
The jumping and racket of each podcaster boot.
Mickey drew in his hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney Steve Jobs came with a bound.
He was dressed in blue jeans and sweater, from head to foot.
His clothes were all tarnished, with ashes and soot.
A bundle of iPhones, he had flung o’r his back,
and he looked like a drug dealer, selling bottles of crack.
His eyes – how they twinkled! His reality distortion merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a battery!
His droll little mouth, all drawn up like a bow.
And the beard of his chin, was all grey like a rat.
A stump of a pencil he held tight in his teeth.
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a narrow face, and a flat belly,
that shook, when he laughed, like a bowl full of tofu.
He was skinny and gaunt, a wizened old guy.
And mickey laughed when he saw him, in spite of himself.
A wink of Job’s eye and a twist of his head,
Soon let mickey know there was nothing to dread;
Steve spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all mickey’s stockings; then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
and giving a node, up the chimney Jobs rose;
He sprung to his sleigh, to the podcasters gave a whistle,
and away they all flew, off to Minnesota to Joey’s house.

<> Below is a shot of watching My
Slingbox through Internet Explorer. The new Sling Beta allows you to
watch your Slingboxes tied to your Slingmedia account through either
Firefox or Internet Explorer on a Windows machine. A very handy feature
if you don’t want to install the full application on your computer, or
are not at your personal computer.
However, corporate users take note that if you are behind a firewall
that blocks the Sling application from working, may still have the same
issue with the web based program. The password was not authenticated
for either of my slingboxes when the attempt was made from work.
