HSDPA over BT

I’m at Starbucks today while my wife is working, and using my Treo’s HSDPA over BT to do some TCPJ stuff.  However, I am also watching some of my DVR content over Slingbox and have a comment.  The quality of the stream is not very good.  OK, honestly, it sucks.  I’m seeing only about 100kbps with tons of stuttering almost rendering the stream unwatchable.  When using my Sprint EVDO Rev. A card, I saw fantastic quality and no problems at all.  I realize that I am using Bluetooth, but i figure I should have some better results.  The bummer is that I can’t hook up the Treo to the Mac Book Pro via the USB cable.  Oh well, at least I’m getting some connectivity here without having to pay for Sbux wi-fi.

Maybe I look like a weather guy

Maybe a long lost brother?

Call Calendar

I found this program today and find it very intriguing.  It’s called Call Calendar and allows you to have your Windows Mobile 6 device insert the information about each of your calls as an appointment on your calendar.  When I first was looking at it, it seemed that it may be annoying to have that many appointments on your calendar, but after using it today, it’s pretty neat.  It shows you the Phone number called, time started/ended and duration.  I like that I can look back at my day and see who I called and received calls from on my cell phone.  Best of all, it’s free.  Check it out at the link below.

Where is my Twitter?

Twitter seems to be having some major problems tonight. I don’t get a chance to get on all that much during the day, so the fact that I can’t get on tonight is frustrating.

Oh well, not much I can do about it right now.

Watching the Twins

Watching the Twins

Technology can be a great thing. I’m sitting on the patio in backyard under the patio watching the Minnesota Twins playing the Kansas City Royals on my HP pda. The cool thing is that it is over wi-fi back to my dad’s house in Minnesota.

This is what the slingbox is all about!
